This is one of three essential oils derived from orange tree.Petitgrain oil is distilled from the leaves and young branches, others are the fruits obtained from the bark of flower (neroli).
Petitgrain essential oil extracted from orange to green was once the size of ripe cherries, hence the name "petit grain" that is "small beans"
It is widely used in pharmaceuticals and perfumery, is a classic ingredient of eau de Cologne.
